Indonesia Wins Three More Golds at 2025 Southeast Asian Athletics Championships

Inp.polri.go.id - Deli Serdang.  Indonesia added three gold medals, along with two silvers and seven bronzes, on the second day of the 17th Southeast Asian U-18 and U-20 Athletics Championships at the Madya Athletics Stadium in Batang Kuis, North Sumatra, on Sunday (17/11/2025).

The first gold came from Kubalang Geonly, who won the U-18 men’s 1,500 meters in 4:14.17. Vietnam’s Vi Minjam Thang took silver, while Indonesia’s Jakabiran Harahap secured bronze.

Sprinter Shava S. Warangga delivered Indonesia’s second gold in the U-18 women’s 100 meters with a time of 11.74 seconds, followed by Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Thu (silver) and Indonesia’s Danselina W. Tauruy (bronze).

The third gold was claimed by M. Akbar Jabaludin, who dominated the U-18 men’s 100 meters in 10.42 seconds. Indonesia’s Dwi Ahmad Febrian won silver, and Thailand’s Phattarakorn Insaeng took bronze.

With Sunday’s results, Indonesia now holds 7 golds, 6 silvers, and 12 bronzes, placing second behind Vietnam.
