Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s Canoe Slalom team won three gold medals and one bronze at the ASEAN Canoe Slalom Championship held in Rayong, Pattaya, Thailand, on 26 and 27 July 2025.
The event featured 33 athletes from Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand, as part of preparations for the 2025 SEA Games, as reported by antaranews.com on Thursday (31/7/2025)..
The Indonesian team, represented by two male athletes and four female athletes, excelled in kayak and canoe slalom events. Krisna Septiana won gold in men’s kayak slalom (MK1) with 85.69 points, while Angrum Sofia secured the women’s kayak slalom (WK1) title with 106.98. Putu Santhi added another gold in the women’s canoe slalom (WC1) with 105.98. Sutanto Ade Yoan earned bronze in the men’s canoe slalom (MC1).
“Our training facilities back home are lacking, but the athletes remain determined. Big tasks lie ahead: the 2025 SEA Games, 2026 Asian Games, and 2028 Olympic qualifiers,” said team manager Muhammad Assyidiq.
