Inp.polri.go.id - Surakarta. Indonesia’s women’s basketball team stormed into the semifinals of the 9th Asian School Basketball Championship (ASBC) 2025 after thrashing Saudi Arabia 102-16 in their final Group X match at Sritex Arena, Surakarta, Central Java, on Thursday (28/8/2025).
The victory continued Indonesia’s winning momentum after defeating Singapore 71-36 earlier in the week, securing a semifinal clash with Thailand.
“Our players executed the game plan with high intensity and discipline. This victory proves the team’s strong spirit and preparation for tougher challenges ahead,” Head Coach Syafiq Mubarak said after the game, as quoted by antaranews.com
Kartika Hatta led Indonesia with 21 points, four assists, and five steals. Tasya Dewi added 14 points and three steals, while Kadek Winda contributed 11 points and four rebounds. Indonesia’s only defeat in the group stage came against China, but two decisive wins were enough to propel them into the final four.
