Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian policewomen, better-known as Polwan, from the Indonesian National Police (INP) Headquarters commemorated the 77th Polwan anniversary with a pilgrimage and flower-laying ceremony at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta, on Thursday (28/8/2025).
The ceremony was led by Senior Superintendent Yolanda Evalyn Sebayang, the Chair of the 77th Polwan Anniversary Committee, and attended by representatives from various Polwan units.
“We want to honor the sacrifices of our national heroes while reflecting on their legacy of dedication and courage. This moment serves as a reminder for us to emulate their spirit in carrying out our duties as members of the National Police,” she said during the ceremony, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Yolanda added that the commemoration also reinforces the commitment of policewomen to professionalism, integrity, and empathy in serving the public. The pilgrimage is part of a series of anniversary events, which also include social programs, health services, and community outreach activities.
