Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Air Force has formalized a cooperation agreement with PT Airbus Indonesia Nusantara to enhance aircraft maintenance and operational readiness.
“The meeting focused on optimizing maintenance support to ensure aircraft reliability and airworthiness,” said Air Force Spokesperson First Marshall I Nyoman Suadnyana as quoted by antaranews.com on Friday (9/1/2026).
The Air Force already an Airbus operator, seeks to maintain its fleet, including fighter jets and transport aircraft like the recently delivered A400M, in peak condition. The collaboration is expected to ensure all aircraft are mission-ready, supporting both national defense and disaster relief operations across Indonesia.
Airbus planes have previously been deployed for military logistics missions in Sumatra and Aceh, demonstrating their dual utility for combat readiness and humanitarian support. The partnership signals continued modernization and strategic capability strengthening of the Air Force’s air assets.
