Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Navy deployed a warship to conduct joint naval exercises with the Royal Thai Navy during the Sea Garuda 22B-25 drills in the Gulf of Thailand on Wednesday.
“The Indonesian Navy deployed KRI Raden Eddy Martadinata-331 ship, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Andi Kristianto, while the Thai Navy deployed HTMS Bhumibol Adulyadej ship,” said Indonesian Navy Spokesperson Rear Admiral Tunggul on Thursday (28/8/2025), as quoted by antara news.com.
The exercises included Cross Deck Helicopter operations, where Indonesia’s AS565 Panther landed on the Thai vessel, while Thailand’s Sikorsky S-76B landed on KRI REM-331.
Both navies also conducted search-and-rescue drills and joint boarding operations, known as Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS), along with personnel exchanges.
