Inp.polri.go.id - Tokyo. The Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo appreciated the significant increase in both the quantity and quality of Indonesian nurses in Japan over the past 17 years, thanks to the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).
“The Indonesian and Japanese governments work closely to ensure smooth placements and high-quality training for nursing and caregiving candidates. The positive reputation built by Indonesian participants encourages both nations to continue this program, as outlined in the revised IJEPA protocol agreed upon in August 2024,” Indonesian Deputy Ambassador in Tokyo Maria Renata Hutagalung said on Monday (30/9/2024)
The embassy frequently receives inquiries about recruiting Indonesian workers, reflecting the high demand for caregivers and nurses in Japan.
Deputy Ambassador Maria highlighted that the growing demand stems from the reputation of Indonesian caregivers and nurses as friendly, diligent, and responsive.
Hoping more Indonesian candidates will leverage this program to enhance their skills and competencies, Maria urged Indonesians to comply with Japanese regulations and update their information on the Indonesian citizens’ portal.
