Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A total of 580 House of Representatives (DPR) members and 152 Regional Representative Council (DPD) members will be sworn in today for the 2024-2029 term in Jakarta.

The ceremony starts at 9.20 am, with the General Election Commission (KPU) announcing the oldest and youngest members, who will temporarily lead the DPR, DPD, and the People Consultative Assembly (MPR). 

The oath-taking is scheduled be conducted by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, with President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin scheduled to attend.

DPR membership has increased from 575 to 580 following the formation of new provinces in Papua. Similarly, DPD membership rose from 136 to 152, bringing the total legislators to be sworn in today to 732.
