Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian hospital has been grappling with medicine supply crisis due to the absence of aid entering the besieged Gaza Strip in Palestine.
"Thus far, there has been no medical or logistic aid that can enter Gaza," the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee MER-C Indonesia volunteer Fikri Rohul Haq said in Jakarta on Tuesday (17/10/2023).
He explained that humanitarian aid has yet to reach Gaza because the Rafah border has become a target of Israeli attacks.
"Up to this point, no aid has entered the Gaza Strip since the border crossing remains closed," Fikri was quoted by antaranews.com as saying.
In addition to medicine supply crisis, paramedics at the Indonesian hospital have been experiencing exhaustion as they have to work around the clock due to the increasing number of casualties, he added
As of October 17, 2023, there were 470 fatalities, 1,800 injuries, and several individuals under medical care at the Indonesian hospital in Gaza.
