Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) welcomes criticism and remains committed to external oversight, the INP Inspector for General Supervision, Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo.
“The INP is an open institution that is ready to accept criticism, suggestions, and feedback,” he said following the 2025 National Police Commission (Kompolnas) Coordination Meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday (16/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
He emphasized Kompolnas’s active role in monitoring police conduct, including case handling, personnel management, and recruitment. He said this supervision aligns with Law No. 2/2002 on the INP, which mandates accountability.
The INP, with over 464,000 personnel, is the world’s second-largest centralized police force and operates in the fourth most populous country.
According to Deputy Chair of Kompolnas and Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, this scale demands strong monitoring mechanisms.
