inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Drug Crimes Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit arrested four foreign nationals (WNA) from Malaysia for smuggling crystal methamphetamine through Pontianak.
"(They smuggled the drugs from) Malaysia, Pontianak, to Jakarta. They then moved the drugs from Pontianak to Jakarta via land expedition," said the Director of Drug Crimes of INP Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa on Tuesday (2/11/2025).
The four people themselves are M, L, G, and O. He explained that from examining the suspects, police found there is one other suspect who has fled and now is being pursued, namely with the initials T.
During the arrest, investigators confiscated 15 kg of crystal methamphetamine. Then, the suspects were charged with Article 114 of the Narcotics Law.
