inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo gave his highest appreciation to his excellent police women for his dedication and service to the people.

The praise was conveyed during the celebration of the 76th Anniversary of Indonesian Police Women.

“First, I would like to give my highest appreciation for the many achievements achieved by the police women ranks that was announced during this celebration event. We have also seen many activities that went directly to the field, directly keep in touch with the public,” says General Listyo.

The Chief of Police said that currently there are five police women with the rank of brigadier general who are now in strategic positions. One of them is Brigadier General Desy Andriani, who serves as Director of Women and Children’s Crimes (PPA) and Human Trafficking Crimes (PPO)

In addition, several policewomen are also recorded as being active in the international arena as Police Peacekeepers, members who act as UN peacekeepers.

“The action of our police women does not only revolve domestically, but also internationally and we should be proud of this. They are the pride of our institution,” remarks General Listyo Sigit
