Inp.polri.go.id - South Tangerang. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has mobilized 87,924 personnel across the country to anticipate and respond to potential natural disasters, including ongoing emergencies in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
“This number includes personnel from regional police commands backed by the National Police Headquarters, forming a coordinated nationwide deployment,” said the INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko on Saturday (29/11/2025), as cited by antaranews.com.
Aceh has deployed 4,550 officers, North Sumatra 1,754 officers, and West Sumatra 2,743 officers. This preparation follows a nationwide disaster emergency preparation roll call last month, which involved 155,000 personnel under INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
The INP also deployed ships, including KP Kutilang 5005 and KP Pinguin 5011, helicopters, and K-9 SAR teams to search for missing victims based on field analysis and witness reports. In addition, 28 field kitchens have been prepared to support evacuees.
