Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) followed up on the establishment of a new directorate after the signing of a Presidential Regulation on the Formation of One Directorate in the Criminal Investigation Agency by President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo.
Assistant INP Chief for Human Resources, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said on Tuesday (13/2/2024) that his office has coordinated with the INP Human Resources Development Planning Agency to discuss the follow-up actions after the signing of the Presidential Regulation on the Establishment of the Directorate for the Protection of Women and Children (PPA) and Trafficking in Persons (PPO) within the Criminal Investigation Agency, commonly knows as Bareskrim.
"The agency will follow up with the drafting of the fifth amendment to the INP Chief Regulation on the Organizational Structure and Work Procedures," said General Dedi.
It will then be brought to the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform and involve the Ministry of Finance regarding the budget for the approval of the number of structures below it, antaranews.com reported.
"Then, together with the Legal Division, we will submit the drafting of the regulation to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. After the regulation is issued, the Human Resources Division will follow it up with the recruitment of officers," General Dedi said
The establishment of the PPA Directorate is part of the discourse of INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, which was announced during the year-end release in 2021.
