Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Food Task Force is investigating reports of MinyaKita cooking oil being sold with less volume than stated on its packaging.
Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf, the Chief of the INP’s Food Task Force, confirmed on Sunday (9/3/2025) discrepancies found during an inspection at Pasar Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.
“Three MinyaKita brands from different producers were tested. Although labeled as 1 liter, they contained only 700–900 milliliters,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The implicated producers are PT Artha Eka Global Asia (Depok), Koperasi Produsen UMKM Kelompok Terpadu Nusantara (Kudus), and PT Tunas Agro Indolestari (Tangerang).
The task force has seized evidence and is conducting further investigations.
The investigation followed an inspection by Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, who also found MinyaKita sold above the government’s price ceiling.
