Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Bureau  (Bareskrim) has named two new suspects, identified by their initials LD and IG, in connection with the Auto Trade Gold (ATG) trading robot case, allegedly linked to suspect WK. Both are currently in custody at the Bareskrim Detention Center.
"Investigators have now named 2 new suspects, namely IG and LD, who have been mentioned in 27 police reports and are currently detained at the Bareskrim Detention Center," Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, Director of Special Economic Crime Investigation at Bareskrim, said on Tuesday (19/9/2023) The new suspects bring the total number of suspects to five, identified by their initials DW, CB, IG, LD and YK, who is on the run. Suspects LD and IG are accused of marketing the ATG trading robot, starting in early 2020, offering it for use with the overseas broker market Lego LLC. They enticed potential members with a marketing plan and operated through PT. Sarana Digital Internasional, utilizing a member-get-member networking system with profit bonuses ranging from 5% to 15% of the robot's purchase price for recruiting new members. PT. Sarana Digital Internasional did not possess the required permits from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade for selling ATG trading robots, which usually require permits for multi level marketing or direct sales methods. The primary suspect is  DW, the company's owner and the mastermind behind the ATG trading robot business. He is also suspected of misappropriating members' funds for purposes other than trading. Suspects LD and IG played roles in recruiting members by aggressively promoting the ATG trading robot through various media outlets, making attractive offers to lure individuals into becoming members. The suspects face charges under Indonesian law, including violations of the Criminal Code and Money Laundering Offenses Act. (mg/bg/pr/nm)
