Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. Hundreds of residents affected by floods and landslides across Aceh Province received critical medical assistance through the National Police's Operasi Aman Nusa II.
On Wednesday, specialized medical teams conducted simultaneous health clinics in Bener Meriah, North Aceh, and Aceh Tamiang to treat displaced victims and prevent the spread of post-disaster illnesses.
"The presence of Police health services aims to prevent diseases from developing into serious conditions while aiding full recovery," said Dr. Yeremia Dwi Purnomo, a field physician from Bhayangkara Hospital on Thursday (22/1/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The medical drive treated various ailments triggered by damp environments and stress, primarily focusing on respiratory infections, skin diseases, and hypertension. In North Aceh alone, 186 residents received treatment from the regional clinic and support teams from the East Java Regional Police.
Beyond providing medicine and vitamins, the INP offered health education to help communities maintain hygiene in shelters, serving as a vital lifeline for those who lost access to local facilities during the natural disaster.
