Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and All Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) held coordination meeting for U17 World Cup preparation that will be held in November 2023. The meeting was attended by both heads, Erick Thohir and Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
“Today, Tuesday September 19th, 2023, as the committee of U17 World Cup, we were welcomed by the Police chief and the ranks to give our reports. On this, we also would like to hear any recommendations and suggestion from the Police for the match preparation that will began on November 10th, 2023,” said the PSSI chair during conference press, Tuesday (9/19/2023).
During the opening of U17 World Cup on November 9th, 2023, FIFA President scheduled to attend the celebration which would be welcomed directly by the Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
“We could begin the mapping for the event, both in logistic security and others. On October 27th 2023, all preparation must be completed and ready to go,” said General Sigit.
He adds that INP is ready to give their all in supporting the success of the prestigious international event of U17 World Cup.
“The U17 World Cup is an international event which we hosted for the first time. We welcome this event with full appreciation and stand ready to ensure its security,” ensures General Sigit.
The General explained that the security operations would revolve around contingency plans, and the security of FIFA teams, stadium arena, and others vital points. The security operations would be devised and implemented in accordance to FIFA standard.
“The point is, we support the U17 World Cup to be held undisturbed and successfully to bring the good name of Indonesia,” said General Sigit.
