inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Cyber Crime Directorate will consider the Tojara customary court proceedings filed against comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono over the controversial stand-up comedy "Mesakke Bangsaku" (My Nation).
This consideration is being made in line with the application of living law and national criminal law, related to report number 01/LP/APT/XI/2025.
"Yes, everything we've done is concrete steps in accordance with living law. Furthermore, with national law in place, we're conducting a concurrent investigation," said Brigadier General Himawan Bayu Aji, Director of the Cyber Crime Directorate, Thursday (2/26/2026).
Himawan stated that Pandji's customary court proceedings will be considered in the case hearing to determine whether he can be named a suspect.
"So, we'll see what the outcome will be after further investigations following his customary trial in Toraja. We'll first assess what elements might be involved, and then we'll draw conclusions in the case conference," he said.
The police also haven't ruled out questioning the Torajan leaders who conducted the customary trial against Pandji as evidence for the case conference.
"If it's necessary for the investigation, we'll likely question several parties involved in the investigation," Himawan explained.
Previously, Pandji had been subjected to customary sanctions by the Toraja community, including an apology and the obligation to pay one pig and five chickens.
