inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) is honoring the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The award ceremony will be held at the Indonesia Arena in Jakarta.

"July 10, 2025, will be historic for the labor movement and INP Chief. This is the highest award in the world from the ITUC," said Andi Gani Nena Wea, President of the All-Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPSI), on Thursday (7/10/2025).

He explained that the award ceremony will be attended by 25,000 workers from Java. They will come from three major confederations: KSPSI, the All-Indonesian Workers Union (SPSI), and the All-Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSBSI).

The KSPSI President stated that the award will be presented directly by ITUC Secretary General Shoya Yoshida. Furthermore, the event will be attended by all labor presidents from Southeast Asia and Minister of Manpower Yassierli.

He then revealed three factors that determine the ITUC's decision to honor General Sigit. One of the reasons is because the Chief of Police has opened up a large space for the aspirations of workers.

"Second, the establishment of the INP Manpower Desk. This desk, which has been in place for a year, has resolved various labor issues," he said.

Third, INP Chief is considered to have played a significant role in helping re-employment of laid-off workers. He stated that 700 workers have already found work thanks to this program.

"In the near future, 1,500 laid-off workers will return to work and will be placed in Cirebon and Brebes," he said.
