inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto announced the government's plan to send more expert teams to Brazil to study agricultural innovation, modernization, and technology in the country.

President Prabowo stated that the plan had received approval from Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

"President Lula and his ministers have also graciously accepted our request to send more technical expert teams to study the innovation, modernization, and technology you have here," President Prabowo said in his statement on Thursday (7/10/2025).

He considered Brazil to be at the forefront of agricultural development, including in the use of biofuels and increasing productivity.

President Prabowo stated that Brazil's experience in this area could be of great benefit to Indonesia if used as a learning resource.

The two countries have also established positive cooperation in several areas and continue to explore expanding collaboration, including through joint research in technology.

On that occasion, President Prabowo also stated that food security and self-sufficiency are important priorities for Indonesia.

Indonesia has used several Brazilian programs as a reference, including the Free Nutritious Meals program for children and pregnant women.

The government is targeting the provision of 82.9 million meals per day by December 2025.
