Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta emerged as the overall champion of the 2025 National Student Sports Week (Popnas XVII) after winning an impressive 101 gold medals.

“Jakarta collected a total of 221 medals, consisting of 101 gold, 56 silver, and 64 bronze, marking a dominant lead over other provinces,” said Popnas and Peparpenas 2025 Organizing Committee Chair Andri Yansyah during the closing ceremony on Sunday night (9/11/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Central Java came second with 58 golds, while East Java followed with 50. The week-long event, held from 1 to 9 November 2025, featured 5,175 athletes from 38 provinces competing in 344 events across 23 sports.

In the parallel event, the 11th National Paralympic Student Week (Peparpenas XI), West Java topped the medal table with 35 golds, followed by Central Java and Jakarta.

Andri praised the athletes and organizers for ensuring a safe, spirited competition.
