Inp.polri.go.id - Medan.  As of Sunday morning (15/9/2024), Jakarta continued to hold the top position in the ongoing XXI National Sports Week (PON)I Aceh-North Sumatra 2024, with 93 gold, 82 silver, and 74 bronze medals.

Trailing behind Jakarta, West Java was in second place with 86 gold, 83 silver, and 82 bronze medals. East Java, which led briefly on Friday, now ranks third with 84 gold, 76 silver, and 76 bronze medals.

Host provinces North Sumatra and Aceh occupy fourth and fifth positions, while seven provinces have yet to win a gold medal.

With 540 events remaining out of 1,039, the medal standings remain fluid as the competition progresses.
