Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta administration has warned that civil servants who fail to respond to public complaints submitted through the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) app will face disciplinary action, including salary deductions.
"If an officer fails to respond appropriately to a complaint within six days, the system flags it in red, and their performance-based pay will be automatically reduced," said Budi Awaludin, the Head of Jakarta's Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency , at the relaunch event of the JAKI app on Wednesday (28/5/2025).
JAKI’s “Lapor Warga” feature has become the main public reporting tool, receiving around 91% of all incoming complaints. Reports can include issues like illegal parking, with users able to upload geotagged photos.
Budi also assured that user confidentiality is guaranteed. The app was relaunched with 11 new features, including medical facility queue trackingg, JKN mobile integration, ambulance and emergency service, homeless shelters, morgue boat service (for Thousand Islands residents), hospital bed availability, and more.
The aim is to make public services faster, easier, and more responsive through digital engagement, Budi said.
