Wamena-In the context of the vaccination acceleration program, the Jayawijaya Departemental Police held a mass vaccination activity which was held at the Al-Istiqomah Walesi Islamic Boarding School, Friday (12/24/2021) morning. In this activity, apart from vaccination, the Jayawijaya Departemental Police also distributed rice and necessities to the community as a form of Indonesian National Police concern in welcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations. Chief of Jayawijaya Departemental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Muh. Safei stated that today his party held a mass vaccination for the people in Walesi District to get the vaccine outlets closer so that people don't have to come to the city to get the vaccine. "Today, we have vaccinated 64 people, 63 people for the first dose and 1 for the second dose. Apart from the vaccine, we also gave a few gifts in the form of rice and necessities for people who want to be vaccinated," said the Chief of Departemental Police. Meanwhile, Ustad Ismail Asso, as Chair of the Central Mountains Muslim Communication Forum, expressed his gratitude because the Chief of Jayawijaya Departemental Police came to vaccinate in Walesi District and voluntarily the people of Walesi District could be vaccinated simultaneously. "I feel grateful that there was an initiative from the Chief of Departemental Police to come by bringing rice and basic necessities and making a driving license for free as a form of motivation. This is also our shared responsibility where the government provides vaccines to all people in the Republic of Indonesia to avoid and protect the public from the coronavirus that continues to spread growing," said Ustad Ismail Asso.
