Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesian President Joko Widodo class for tree planting across Indonesia as the country finally entering rainy season.
“This is to anticipate climate changes, to anticipate global warming which we already have felt. This initiative is also to overcome the air pollutions in the Greater Jakarta area,” says President Jokowi after volunteering himself in planting trees at Pulogadung Industrial Area City Forest, East Jakarta, Wednesday (29/11/23).
The initiative of tree plantation across Indonesia has been deliberately aligned with the rainy season in the country to help its healthy growth
“We held this movement exactly during rainy season. Exactly in December we were poured with rains, and during this time we will plant trees in all of provinces, not just in Jakarta,” explains Jokowi.
He says that the tree plantation in Jakarta has been spread across 900 locations. On that occasion, Jokowi has led the 744 trees plantation at Pulogadung Industrial Area City Forest 1.5 hectares of land.
