Inp.polri.go.id - New York. President Prabowo Subianto said lasting peace in the Middle East can only be achieved if the international community guarantees both a free Palestine and Israel’s security. 

Speaking to reporters in New York on Wednesday (24/9/2025), he underscored Indonesia’s balanced approach to the conflict.

“We must have a free Palestine, but we must also acknowledge, respect, and guarantee the safety and security of Israel. Only then can we have genuine peace, without hatred or suspicion. The only solution is the two-state solution,” President Prabowo said, as quoted by antaranews.com

His remarks followed his address at the 80th United Nations General Assembly, where he urged stronger global action to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. President Prabowo noted that Indonesia’s stance has been widely received as “realistic and balanced.”

The President also highlighted the role of the UN as a pillar of global order, stressing that peace, prosperity, and justice should not be privileges for a few nations but the rights of all humanity.
