inp.polri.go.id – Semarang. Anticipating a surge in Covid-19 cases ahead of Christmas and New Year Holidays, the Government will implement Level 3 Community Activity Restriction Enforcement.

The Central Java Regional Police stated that they would not block border areas or routes in and out of the Central Java region during the 2021 Christmas and 2022 New Year holidays.

There are checkpoints for those who go and enter Central Java. Are they equipped with documents such as having been vaccinated and earrings, including during Level 3 Community Activity Restriction Enforcement later, "explained the Central Java Regional Police Chief.

Checkpoints will be carried out on several routes with a high level of mobility or community movement, such as toll roads, rest areas, and district/city border lines.

Meanwhile, in preparation for dealing with Christmas Holidays, the Central Java Regional Police plans to hold a Candi Christmas Candle Operation from 24 December 2021 to 9 January 2022.   "Later, we will also ask people in rural areas to monitor or supervise residents who come from outside the region. Then, it will be recorded and reported to Noncommissioned law enforcement officers posted in Villages and Community Police Officers for evaluation," explained the Central Java Regional Police Chief.

The Central Java Regional Police Chief hopes that with the Candi Candle Operation and Improved Routine Activities, the mobility of people in Central Java can be controlled. This will reduce the rate of spread of Covid-19 so that fears of a third wave of Covid-19 do not occur.

In order to suppress the transmission of Covid-19, the Central Java Police also continues to intensify vaccination activities. Currently, the Central Java Regional Police are allocated 49,000 doses, which are distributed in 53 locations in Central Java.

With the distribution of that much vaccine, the Central Java Police Chief hopes that the achievement of vaccination in Central Java by the end of the year has reached 100% or herd immunity.

"Currently, the achievement of vaccination in Central Java is 70.20%. This means that the target from the President in December has been exceeded. However, we still have to maximize the vaccination so that communal herd immunity can be achieved," explained the Central Java Regional Police Chief.
