Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Kelapa Gading Police Office in North Jakarta launched an investigation of the death of a 35-year-old man, who fell from the 15th floor of the TC Tower Emerald Apartment on Gading Nias Street on Saturday afternoon (5/10/2024).

"We cannot yet confirm if the victim's death was a suicide or if other circumstances were involved, as the investigation is ongoing," said Senior Inspector Maulana Mukarom, the Chief of the Kelapa Gading Police, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He suspected that the victim, identified as EF, fell from the apartment. Police started examining the crime scene and gathering statements from witnesses to clarify the circumstances surrounding the fall.

"We have interviewed five witnesses, including family members and others who saw the victim fall," Chief Maulana added.

The victim's body has been taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for an external examination to determine the cause of death.

The incident caused concern among residents, who gathered at the scene. Police secured the area and established a perimeter around where the incident occurred.
