Police have confirmed that they have arrested the perpetrator who threatens to assassinate one of the presidential candidates on Instagram with the username of @rifanarainsyah. “It is true, the man has turned himself in,” says Head of Public Information Division of East Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo on Monday (1/15/2024). According to him, the man with the initials of RA turned himself in on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 RA said the police is being questioned by the police intensively as the motive behind his intimidation is still yet uncovered. “He turned himself in and we escorted him to the HQ to be questioned. His escort was due to how far from his house to our HQ which takes 10 hours of travel by land,” explained the police chief. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
