Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Karyoto urges public to be wise in using social media ahead the 2024 General Elections. This was stated by the police chief after participating in Subuh Prayer Keliling program with the Community Development Directorate in Cut Meutia Mosque, Central Jakarta, Sunday.
On the other hand, Inspector General Karyoto also asked to maintain state unity by not taking advantage of religious places as practical politics.
“Ahead the Elections, let us jointly maintain state stability and unity by not taking advantage of mosque for practical politics, and be wise in using social media. I also urge the people not to easily provoked and use your votes in the election,” says Metro Police Chief.
The Inspector General also highlights social issue that has disturbed the society, such as brawls and drug crimes. Parents are urged to better monitor their children.
“Watch over our children so as not to commit any criminal activities such as brawls and drug crimes. We should also watch over their activities in digital tech such as phones or consoles,” adds the police chief.
The former Yogyakarta Police Chief suggest the parents to invite their children to mosques for praying and do any other positive activities. He believes that mosque could help establish golden generation that are smart and cares for each other.
