Metro Jaya Police Chief Vows to Act Firmly Against Subsidized Fuel Oil Hoarders

inp.polri.go.id – Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran emphasized that strict action would be taken against the perpetrators of hoarding fuel oil because it can harm wider society, Thursday (1/9/22). The Kapolda also said that so far, his party has not found or received any reports of fuel hoarding cases. Usually hoarding occured ahead of the increase in fuel prices. "Until today we have not found anything, until today there has been no report of hoarding," he explained. According to the Inspector General Fadil Imran, the Police will also guard a number of gas stations. In addition, the ranks of the Metro Jaya Police will also carry out socialization and education to the public regarding the central government's consideration of increasing the fuel prices. "The Police and the Military will guard several gas stations and we are sure that the current situation is under control," said the Police Chief. Previously reported, that Metro Jaya Police, along with Regional Military Command and the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, held a coordination meeting to discuss securing the area due to the increase in fuel prices. The coordination meeting was held at Aulia Sudirman, Kodam Jaya, East Jakarta, Thursday (1/9/22). In the coordination meeting, the Police Chief asked all ranks to work hand in hand to maintain the security of the capital city after the announcement of the increase in fuel prices from the government.
