Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police’s Narcotics Directorate revealed it seized a total of 3.291 tons of various narcotics throughout 2025, showing a sustained crackdown on illegal drugs in the capital region.
“From all our narcotics operations this year, we seized 3.291 tons of drugs, including methamphetamine, cannabis, and synthetic tobacco,” said Senior Superintendent Ahmad David, the Director of Narcotics, during the year-end briefing on Wednesday (31/12/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The haul included 874.94 kg of methamphetamine, 693.86 kg of cannabis, 644.95 kg of synthetic tobacco, 67.7 kg of liquid methamphetamine, 111,120 ecstasy pills, and 23.89 kg of etomidate. A total of 9,894 suspects were apprehended, ranging from producers and distributors to users.
Chief Ahmad emphasized the high vulnerability of Jakarta to drug abuse and illegal circulation, highlighting the need for cross-sectoral cooperation. As part of prevention efforts, 32 “Anti-Narcotics Resilient Village” posts were established to empower communities at the neighborhood level.
