The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police declare that they were ready to face the pretrial motion filed by the suspended Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Firli Bahuri over extortion allegations involving former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo  at the South Jakarta District Court. "This morning, the Bidkum (Legal Advocacy) Team of the Metro Jaya Police engaged in the pretrial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, filed by the legal counsel of the suspect FB (Firli Bahuri)," Police Senior Superintendent Ade Safri Simanjuntak, the Director of Special Crimes Investigation of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, said on Monday (11/12/23), Djuyamto, the South Jakarta District Court spokesperson, revealed, "Upon receiving the application, the Chief Justice appointed a single judge to preside the proceedings." Scheduled to span seven days, the pretrial hearings will commence in Courtroom 01 at 10 am, presided over by Judge Imelda Herawati, the spokesperson said. (ar/inp/pr/nm)
