Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police will enforce traffic diversions around the National Monument (Monas) area on Monday (2/12/2024), to accommodate the 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA 212) Reunion while ensuring smooth traffic flow and public safety.

"The adjustments aim to maintain safety, order, and smooth traffic for both attendees and regular commuters," said Metro Jaya Police Director of Traffic Senior Superintendent Latif Usman on Sunday.

The plan included traffic from changes from Veteran Rayas street directed to Harmoni, from East Merdeka street  to Perwira Street and from MH Thamrin street rerouted to Kebon Sirih.

A detailed traffic map will guide motorists through the diversions, according to antaranews.com

The event will engage 2,489 security officers, comprising regional police units, sub-regional task forces, military support, and local administration officers.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the Monas area and use alternate routes to minimize delays.

The PA 212 group is closely associated with the Islam Defenders Front (FPI), is known as the driving force behind the sectarian rally held on 2 December, 2016, to demand the prosecution of then-Jakarta governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama for blasphemy.
