Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Rice Price Control Task Force of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional has inspected rice prices at 61 locations across the capital to ensure compliance with the government’s price ceiling policy.
“The task force conducted checks at 61 rice-selling points,” said Senior Superintendent Edy Suranta Sitepu, the Head of the Special Crimes Directorate and Coordinator of the 2025 Rice Price Control Task Force, on Wednesday (12/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
He revealed that 34 traders had previously received warning letters for selling rice above the highest retail price (HET). As of this week, only one seller in West Jakarta’s Pos Pengumben Market remains noncompliant.
The joint inspections involved multiple agencies, including the National Food Agency (Bapanas), state logistics company Bulog, and Jakarta’s food and trade offices.
