Jakarta Police to Deploy 2,348 Personnel for U-17 World Cup Security

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police has deployed 2,348 personnel to ensure the security of the U-17 World Cup, antaranews.com reported. "It is an honor for Indonesia to be entrusted with organizing such significant international events. Therefore, reinforcing security measures is of paramount importance, "Jakarta Police's Vice Chief Brigadier General Suyudi Ario Seto said during the launch of Operation Aman Bacuya 2023 on Thursday (9/11/2023). Senior Superintendent Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the Head of Public Relations Department at Metro Jaya Regional Police, said hosting the U-17 World Cup represents a significant point of pride for Indonesia, reflecting a strong vote of confidence from the international community. Scheduled from 10 November to 2 December 2023, the U-17 World Cup has placed Indonesia in Group A, competing against Ecuador, Panama, and Morocco. All Group A matches involving Indonesia will take place at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya. The tournament kicks off with the opening match against Ecuador U-17 on Friday (10/11/2023) at 7pm. In addition to the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, the matches will be conducted in the Manahan Stadium in Surakarta, the Jakarta International Stadium and the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung .
