President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo confirmed his plan to visit Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to attend the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the current situation in Gaza, scheduled to take place on Sunday (12/11/23). "Tomorrow night, I will depart for Saudi Arabia to participate in the OIC summit discussing Gaza," stated President Jokowi during his working visit in Purwakarta, West Java, on Thursday (9/11/23). Following his visit to Riyadh, President Jokowi will travel to the United States for a meeting with President Joe Biden at the White House on Monday (13/11/23). "I will convey the results of the OIC summit to President Joe Biden, emphasizing the urgency to halt the Hamas-Israel conflict," he affirmed. President Jokowi has strongly condemned the violence and attacks leading to civilian casualties in Gaza. Indonesia maintains its call for a humanitarian ceasefire to facilitate aid delivery to the victims in the besieged Palestinian territories. Indonesia's appeal is closely related to the safety of six Indonesian citizens who remain in Gaza. Among them, three are members of Muhammad Husein's family, while the other three are Indonesian volunteer workers serving at the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza. (ar/inp/pr/nm)
