Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said that he was unaware of the issuance of Rights to Build, or HGB, certificate for the 30 kilometer-long sea fences in Tangerang, Banten, during his term as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning)/National Land Agency.

"I didn’t know. It was issued in 2023, before I took office in 2024," he said at the Presidential Palace Complex on Tuesday (21/1/2025).

 Building Use Rights, known as HGB, and Ownership Rights, known as  SHM, certificates.

He clarified that the HGB certificate predated his tenure and was not reported to him. The Agrarian Ministry is now investigating the matter to determine its legality.

"If there are procedural or legal flaws, the certificate can be evaluated and revoked," Minister Agus Yudhoyoho noted, adding that President Prabowo Subianto has ordered all ministries to address any violations promptly and transparently.

Previously, Agrarian Nusron Wahid confirmed the seawall’s certification, covering a 30.16-kilometer stretch along the Tangerang coastline.
