Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo confirmed that bonuses for victorious athletes from the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games would be distributed in the coming one to two weeks. The delay is linked to President Joko Widodo's international commitments. "It is (confirmed). We're awaiting the President's schedule because he's currently abroad," he told antaranews.com. He refrained from disclosing the precise amount or nature of the rewards earmarked for Indonesia's standout athletes at this premier sporting event. Coordinating Minister for Human Empowerment and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy, along with Head of Mission Basuki Hadimuljono, proposed an added incentive for medalists: houses courtesy of the Indonesian government. The Indonesian contingent at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games secured seven  gold, 11 silver, and 18 bronze medals, securing the 13th place in the final standings. This achievement, especially the gold count, marked Indonesia's best performance since hosting the event in 2018.
