inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions is ready to form thematic villages in Indonesia to ensure the success of the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) and the realization of food self-sufficiency.
“Later, there will be tomato village, garlic village, tilapia village, or patin village, and all of this will be realized with the capabilities of each village," said the Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Yandri Susanto.
According to Minister Yandri, thematic villages that develop certain themes to improve community welfare, preserve cultural heritage, and create a strong village identity can have a positive influence on every program of President Prabowo Subianto.
Not only food needs that will be certainly met, improving human resources and the welfare of village communities can also be realized with the existence of these thematic villages.
To make the establishment of thematic villages a success, Yandri will also encourage Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) to optimize all potentials owned by the village.
"We will push BUMDes to be the main driver of the thematic village economy, according to its potential," concluded Yandri.
