Indonesian President Joko Widodo, along with his ministerial entourage, inaugurates Modern Fishermen of Samber-Binyeri Village in Biak Numfor Regency, Papua Province on Thursday (11/23/2023). In his remarks, Jokowi stressed the importance of managing and developing the facility provided to the Modern Fishermen Village. The government reportedly has provided facilities such as Fishermen's Hall, 10 Ton Portable Frozen Warehouse, 1 Ton Capacity Ice Factory, Mooring Pier, with complete tourist destinations. The president then reminds that it is much harder to manage the facilities than to establish it. “I remind you that building is much easier than to preserve. There are many buildings that I have inaugurated and most of the issues I heard is about its development. Good buildings could not operate if it is not managed well,” says Jokowi. He hopes that fishermen could use the facilities given to its maximum potentials as he also stressed the importance of serious and accountable management in developing the Fishermen Modern Village.
