Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A total of 2,898 joint officers have been deployed to secure the highly anticipated Persija Jakarta vs Persebaya Surabaya match, taking place Saturday night (12/4/2025) at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK).
Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Chief Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the deployment aims to ensure safety and smooth operations both inside and around the stadium.
“Support your team with joy, not hostility,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Security officers will not carry firearms and will apply a humanist approach, though firm action will be taken against disorderly behavior. Fans were also reminded not to bring flares, fireworks, alcohol, or weapons.
Traffic around GBK will be managed dynamically, with the public advised to use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
The match is part of Persija’s return to hosting games with spectators, following a successful appeal to lift sanctions previously imposed after crowd troubles in February.
