North Sulawesi Regional Police Bans People from Setting Firecrackers During Christmas and New Year of 2021

In addition, it continues to monitor the circulation of fireworks that already have a permit from the National Police's Security and Intelligence Agency, added the Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Regional Police. "Illegal fireworks that do not have a permit from National Police's Security and Intelligence Agency, and firecrackers both large and small are prohibited from being traded and used/lit. If found, action can be taken following applicable legal provisions. For this reason, I urge the public to obey the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 66 of 2021 concerning Prevention and Control of Covid-19 at Christmas 2021 and New Year of 2022, as well as the Circular Letter of the Governor of North Sulawesi Number 440/21.7114/Sekr-Public Health Office concerning Anticipation of Community Police Officers and the Spread of Covid -19 at the Christmas and New Year Celebration in North Sulawesi Province. The public is advised to solemnly celebrate Christmas and New Year of 2021 and still adhere to health protocols to suppress the spread of Covid-19 while preventing disturbances to public order. The public is also asked not to distribute, sell and consume liquor, and not to carry out activities that can cause crowds, such as parades, open houses, and fireworks parties," concluded the Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Regional Police.
