North Sumatra Police Committed in Their War on Drugs by Arresting 998 Suspects

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. As many 998 suspects of drugs user to its couriers have been arrested by North Sumatra Regional Police in three weeks. The drugs used and smuggled includes methamphetamine, Marijuana, and ecstasy pills. “Since September 12th to October 2nd, we have arrested 998 suspects involved in drug networks at North Sumatra,” say Chief Public Relations of North Sumatra Police, Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi. Hadi explains the details that from the 998 suspects, 241 of them are the drug user with 757 rest of them are the couriers. The hundreds of suspects were arrested from 737 drug cases in North Sumatra disclosed by the police. “We have confiscated 29.6 kg methamphetamine, 114.5 kg of weed, 51 marijuana trees and 992 ecstasy pills. We also secured IDR 118,182,000 cash from the drug selling, 136 motorcycles, 10 cars, 406 handphones, 104 electric scales, and 107 methamphetamine bongs,” says Wahyudi. He concluded by emphasizing that his parties continuously committed to eradicate drugs in North Sumatra and stern in their war on drugs. (ad/bg/pr/nm)
