Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. North Sumatra Regional Police held personnel rally for Aquabike Toba Security Operation. The rally was held at North Sumatra Regional Police field HQ on Friday (11/17/2023). The rally was led by North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi and was participated by joint members of North Sumatra Police, Regional Military Command I of Bukit Barisan, National SAR Agency, and others. “The point of this rally is for the preparation of 2023 Aquabike Jetski World Championship International Event,” says the Police Chief during his remarks. Agung reveals that around 2.761 joint personnel will be deployed for the international event security operations which will be held from November 22nd-26th, 2023. “The International event locations in Toba Lake Tourism Destination Complex including Balige City, Dairi Regency, Karo and Samosir,” he says after conveying his hope that all personnel would carry out their duty responsibly. The former Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief Ops Assistant explains during the Aquabike Jetski World Championship in Toba Lake, there would be traffic engineering and traffic diversion at the four match locations to anticipate congestions. “The North Sumatra Regional Police along with regional government have prepared shuttle bus for the locals and tourists from the parking lot to the match venue,” explains Agung. Agung adds that security joint personnel have prepared several security posts around the venue and side events in effort to provide public security and order. “The event will be participated by 22 states with 118 international racers participating. We ensure the event would go safely and securely, and I implore to the public to also jointly succeed the event with us,” he concluded. (ad/ta/pr/nm)
