Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  A violent clash between two groups of teenagers in East Jakarta resulted in one fatality early Monday morning (9/6/2025). 

The brawl, which took place on Jalan Raya Kampung Tengah, involved the use of sharp weapons and Molotov cocktails.

“The deceased was also among the perpetrators involved in the incident,” said Pasar Rebo Police Office Chief Assistant Senior Inspector I Wayan Wijaya, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Pasar Rebo police quickly responded to the scene to secure evidence and restore order. The deceased, who succumbed to injuries from a sharp weapon, was taken to the Bhayangkara Police Hospital for further examination.

A video of the incident went viral on Instagram, showing two teenage groups attacking each other with machetes and firebombs in a chaotic street battle. In the footage, one person is seen falling after being slashed—believed to be the fatality from the clash.

Police continue their investigation, while local authorities intensify monitoring of social media accounts linked to youth brawls.
