Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said that the investigation is ongoing to trace the origin of the money used for the purchases of food supplies for the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya. "Legal enforcement will apply to anyone, including those who assist the KKB," he was quoted by antaranews.com as saying on Friday (22/9/2023). A joint team consisting of the Damai Cartenz OperationTask Force and the Asmat District Water Police has arrested a man, identified by his initial YT in Agats, Asmat Regency, South Papua, earlier on Thursday on charges of supplying food to the KKB . Based on various reports, YT was known to work as a motorboat driver in Asmat Regency. His  arrest came after the Damai Cartenz Task Force received information and tracked YT as he headed to Bank Papua to withdraw Rp100 million in cash. The money was allegedly used to purchase food supplies requested by Egianus Kogoya. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
