Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Papua Regional Police Public Relations division plants Mangrove Trees in Hol Beach besides the Red Bridge, Jayapura. The activity was to celebrate the 72nd Anniversary of Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Relations.
Head Information and Documentation Management of Papua Police Public Relations, Commissioner Nurjanah was appointed to led the activity. The event was also attended by members of Yapis Papua University Work Studio Community and Papua Police Public Relations.
Around 5,000 seeds of Mangrove tress have been planted in the effort of reforestation. Police and the others also planted the seeds to several other locations such as Papua Police HQ with 2,000 seeds and Papua Police State Police School with 1,500 seeds, with Hol Beach with 1,500 other seeds.
In her remarks, Nurjanah explains that the reforestation activity was also proof of a strong bond between Papua Police and Yapis Papua University Work Studio Community.
“This is also a concrete step from the Indonesian National Police in efforts to reforestation and facing climate changes,” says Nurjannah in her written statement on Friday (10/13/2023).
Muhammad Nurkholik, representing the Yapis Papua University Work Studio Community conveys his hope for another similar activities to be continued.
“Other than further solidifying our relationship, the activity could also give real positive impacts. We hope that the reforestation effort could be further continued, and not just a ceremonious event,” he hoped.
