inp.polri.go.id - During the Eid al-Adha 1443 H, the West Sumatra Police (Polda Sumbar) handed over 59 cows and 2 goats for qurban.
The animals were handed over by the Deputy Chief of the West Sumatra Police (Wakapolda Sumbar), Brigadier General Edi Mardianto, S.I.K., M.Sc., to the sacrificial committee. The animals were to be slaughtered at the Mobile Brigadier HQ field of Polda Sumbar, Sunday (10/7).
Meanwhile, the Head Bureau of Polda Sumbar’s HR, Commissioner Defrian Donimando, S.I.K., as the Head of the Qurban Committee, said that the distribution of meat from the sacrificial animals was prioritized for the poor and needy.
In addition, the meat from the sacrificial animals were also distributed to several other relevant agencies and journalistic organizations.
“The distribution are indeed prioritized to the community, the poor, orphans, Islamic Boarding School, and Orphanage. However, we also distribute the meat from the sacrificial animals to the earthquake victims of Pasaman,” he said.
It was reported, that the distribution of sacrificial animal’s meat was also going to be given to the people around the area of Polda Sumbar, Mobile Brigadier HQ, and the Dorm of the Police.
“We will give it to those who need it. Especially those around the police institution,” said the Head Bureau of Polda Sumbar’s HR.
He continued, some of these sacrificial animals’ meat were also distributed to the community around Baso Pagaruyung Palace, Tanah Datar Regency.
It was reported that all the police stations around West Sumatra also held Qurban. On this Eid al-Adha, it is hoped that the meat of the sacrificial animals can help the community.
